Refresh and Integration Formats¶
To ensure shoppers always see relevant and accurate products, the product feed must be refreshed at the following cadence:
- Real-time updates (preferred) — for pricing changes and out-of-stock status
- Minimum requirement — at least one full feed refresh every 24 hours
Glance uses these updates to dynamically refresh collections, so shoppers aren't shown unavailable or incorrectly priced products.
Supported integration formats¶
Glance supports multiple ingestion methods to fit different commerce stacks:
| Method | Supported | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Google Product Feed | Yes | Ingested directly — share as CSV or FTP/SFTP feed |
| Meta Product Feed | Yes | Ingested directly — share as CSV or FTP/SFTP feed |
| API Integration | Yes | Recommended for real-time updates; also works for smaller catalogs (under 5K products) |
| CSV Feed | Yes | Hosted or shared via secure endpoints |
| FTP / SFTP Upload | Yes | Best for scheduled uploads — merchant-hosted SFTP needs no setup time; Glance-hosted SFTP adds ~1 week of setup |
| WooCommerce, BigCommerce | Not yet | — |
Using the Glance standard feed template (available from your Glance POC) is the fastest route to go live. A custom feed format typically takes 1–2 weeks to process. For the standard format, the estimated processing time depends on catalog size:
| Catalog size | Estimated processing time |
|---|---|
| Up to 100,000 products | ~24 hours |
| Up to 1,000,000 products | ~48 hours |
Shopify stores
If your store runs on Shopify, you don't need a feed — the catalog syncs automatically when you install the Glance app. See the Installation guide.
